It Applies
I’m selfish, impatient, and a little insecure.
I make mistakes, I am out of control, and at times hard to handle…
But if you can’t handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don’t deserve me at my best.
~Marilyn Monroe
No commentsLonliness
We are all so much together, but we are all dying of loneliness.
- Albert Schweitzer
FBL Quote of the Day
We all live with the objective of being happy; our lives are all different and yet the same. ”
- Helen Keller (1880-1968)
No commentsLet it Go…
My friend Heather posted this a while back on her MySpace blog, and when I re-read it today, it really resonated with me. And I wanted to save it in some small way, so I posted it here. (It has a lot of God references in it, and if you are a believer, or not, its still powerful.)
No commentsQuote of the Day

“ At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us. ”
- Albert Schweitzer (1875-1965)

“Depend upon yourself. Make your judgement trustworthy by trusting it. You can develop good judgement as you do the muscles of your body - by judicious, daily exercise. To be known as a man of sound judgement will be much in your favor.”
- Grantland Rice (1880 - 1954)
No commentsLying to Ourselves
“The worst lies are the lies we tell ourselves. We live in denial of what we do, even what we think. We do this because we’re afraid. We fear we will not find love, and when we find it we fear we’ll lose it. We fear that if we do not have love we will be unhappy.” ~ Richard Bach
Just an interesting thought. Do we need love, especially romantic love, to be happy?

Foundation for a Better Life
I recently subscribed to the daily quote from The Foundation For A Better Life. I’ve found myself looking forward to their daily dose of inspiration, even on the days that I struggle to believe in them.
Here are a couple of samples:
“We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give.” -Sir Winston Churchill
“Caring about others, running the risk of feeling, and leaving an impact on people, brings happiness.” -Harold Kushner
“Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless.” -Mother Theresa

No commentsQuotes on People Skills
Just a quick post to some great quotes about People Skills from The Positivity Blog.
My personal favorites are:
Constant kindness can accomplish much. As the sun makes ice melt, kindness causes misunderstanding, mistrust and hostility to evaporate. - Albert Schweitzer
If you envy successful people, you create a negative force field of attraction that repels you from ever doing the things that you need to do to be successful. If you admire successful people, you create a positive force field of attraction that draws you toward becoming more and more like the kinds of people that you want to be like. - Brian Tracy
A lot of people are afraid to say what they want. That’s why they don’t get what they want. - Madonna
