Being Shallow
Is there really anything wrong with just being shallow sometimes? Not reading the classic literature, not remembering the major events of the world, and when they happened? My favorite section of Google News is often the Entertainment section, followed by the Health Section. Of course, sometimes technology catches my eye too. I watch fluffy movies for fun - I can’t tell you the last time I watched a documentary.

The Strangest Sites on Google Earth?
Here’s how I used my “wasted time” today: Checking out the strangedst things you can see on Google Earth, according to PC World magazine.
And by the powers vested in me by the power of WordPress, now you cans see them too. By clicking here. You don’t have to install the massively huge file of Google Earth to see the images, so feel free to check them out.
My personal favorite is probably the boat on its side. Or the red lake in Iraq. Pretty interesting stuff.
No commentsHow Harry Potter Gave Me Meanining
I’m a book devourer. I admit it. I get a book and I can hardly put it down until I’ve read it, cover to cover. That’s what I did with the new Harry Potter book, even though I tried to tell myself I wouldn’t.
And now that it’s over, I’m feeling a little lost.

Giving Up?
“People give up when the world seems to be against them, but that’s the point when you should push,” said James Dyson.
This seems so intuitive for the world we live in today - but we often forget. We choose to lay down in defeat, to fall off the horse and walk away, to allow the forces which could push us to be better to instead just simply push us over. It seems easier that way. We’re tired of the risks and tired of being hurt. Sometimes we’re just tired of the drama that swirls around us when we try to find something better rather than just settling.
After the experiences of the last couple of weeks, it renewed my determination to fight. I’m not going to be complacent, just taking what’s handed to me. I’m not going to keep things around that don’t enhance my life, whether that be music I don’t like, or people who don’t inspire me to be a better person. Its not because they don’t have value - its because we all do have value, and we deserve to explore that value.
Its my life - I’m not ready to give it up just because I’m tired.
1 commentPopular URLs - So You Don’t have to Search
Find the top stories from all kinds of web 2.0 sites with PopURLS. Instead of visiting Digg, Delicious, Reddit, NewsVine, (need I go on), now I just visit this page. Plus I get to see cool Flickr photos, and videos from YouTube. Welcome to a whole new element of time-enhancements.
30 Fastest Cities
Well, Fort Collins made another list - this time the Fast Company list of “30 Fastest Cities”. Its included with Seoul, South Korea and Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina as an R&D Cluster City. Of course, its based on the research that comes from the multiple tech industries in the area, as well as… well… the beer.

No commentsAs Quickly as It Began…
… it ended. I’ve ended my short infatuation with Twitter. I just found that there weren’t enough people I knew using it, and quite honestly, I would forget to log in and tell it what I was doing. As part of the online cleansing I was referring to earlier, I decided to cleanse myself of the Twitter. If you want to know what I’m doing, or where I am, you can send me an email, or a text, or an IM, or… *gasp* call me!

One of my favs:

Too Many Subscriptions and Registrations
I’ve been noticing lately that I have entirely too many sites for which I am registered and newsletters to which I subscribe. I easily wake up to 5-7 new messages in one account, 3 in another… and two accounts which I’ve completely given up on because there’s just too much.

Deleted Post
I had the start of an interesting post, but I deleted it. Maybe after I get some work done I’ll re-write it. But in the meantime - good morning!
